Mike Walsh: Coffee-Obsessed, Event-Tested

A veteran of the events industry, Mike Walsh’s coffee journey technically began at 14 slinging drinks at Dunkin—but the real spark came in 2015. A trip to London introduced him to European-style, espresso-forward coffee, which inspired the launch of coffee carts at events. It was there he stumbled into what we now call Third Wave Coffee—and he’s been deep in the rabbit hole ever since, equal parts passionate barista and mad scientist.

His coffee journey has taken him across the globe, from Barista Camp in Greece (2019) to Roasting Academy in Mexico City (2024). Along the way, Mike has made it his mission to raise the bar for coffee at every level of Atlanta’s hospitality scene—catering, cafés, restaurants, weddings, corporate events, and more.

Mike has opened multiple coffee shops and leads one of Atlanta’s most respected and longest-running barista catering services. He brings years of hands-on experience and a sharp eye for quality, offering real-world guidance to elevate your coffee program. From sourcing exceptional beans and perfecting roast profiles to dialing in brew methods, Mike’s expertise translates directly into better cups and happier customers.
